Children are born to the People. We welcome them and bless them, teach them, celebrate with them. When they come of age we honor them and send them on their way with our blessings, to find lives of their own and continue the work. And then we ourselves someday die, leaving them behind in our place.
It is good that things should be this way. We live, we raise children, we die. And we are reborn. And so the wheel turns. It is indeed good. The world is indeed good, and all its ways are good. We who call ourselves Pagans say this, that the world is good.
May our children be blessed. May our children bless us. May all who read these words be blessed, and may you pass this blessing on and on, handing the old ways down, for as long as earth and sky endure.
